Support group forms for parents of children with disabilities
Lee County Sports Complex/Hammond Stadium located at 14100 Ben C. Pratt/Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Fort Myers will be opening its doors on Thursday, Jan. 7, for “Family Night In,” a support group program for special needs individuals.
Parents of children with disabilities sometimes just need “Adult Time.” Come join other parents at our center to share stories and experiences. The children will be enjoying some playtime in a supervised recreation setting. Siblings are invited. The cost is $5 per family. Each month, the program is located at a different Lee County Parks and Recreation facility from 7-8:30 p.m. Pre-registration is suggested. Registration information can be found on the Web site: www.leeparks.org
