Suspect sought in morning stabbing on Joel Blvd.
Deputies with the major crimes unit of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were looking for a suspect in the stabbing of a man outside an auto parts store at 75 Joel Blvd. that occurred earlier today.
The man walked into the Advanced Auto Parts store and asked employees to call 911 for help. He was airlifted to Lee Memorial Trauma Center in Fort Myers.
A spokeswoman with the Lee County Sheriff’s Public Information Office, said deputies were looking for a black male.
Marked and unmarked police cars were patrolling at neighborhoods bordering the stabbing site, including Richmond Ave., E. Third Street and others in the area.
A deputy on the site at East Third St. and Richmond Ave., said people should make sure their doors are locked.
