New county manager has online blog
Karen Hawes, county manager for Lee County government, has announced that a new “county manager blog” has been added to the county’s website.
The blog will provide citizens up-to-date information on current administrative issues. It will not replace Departmental press releases or information regarding ongoing projects and activities.
Instead, Hawes said this will be a means to get the word out on the challenges that Lee County faces in these tough economic times and the positive news of the County’s operation.
Even with those challenges, Lee County has many opportunities to make necessary changes by utilizing innovative solutions to help build a viable and efficient organization, she said.
The blog will be updated on a weekly basis and can be accessed at the county’s website at: http://www.lee-county.com/gov/dept/countymanager/blog/.
