Dolores “Dolly” Loretta Stanzaki, 87, of Lehigh Acres died at her home on Sunday January 17, 2010. She was born on July 2, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pa. She came to this area from Mars, Pa., in 1979 along with her husband Paul and son Robert.

They were members of St. Raphael’s Church in Lehigh and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Stanzaki was active in the Ladies Auxiliary and served as past president.

Being an avid sports fan, she was the Pittsburgh Steelers number one fan.

She is survived by her daughter Shirley (Kenneth) Howe of North Carolina; sons Paul F. (Kathy) of Pennsylvania and Robert J. of Lehigh Acres, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul in 2003. Members of the family would like to express their gratitude to all of the caregivers who attended their mother at home, giving special appreciation to Barbara Stephens and Hope Hospice for their loving care and commitment.

Visitation will be held at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers on Wednesday, January 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service and celebration of Stanzaki’s life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21 at the funeral home followed by burial in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
