Senior Joel Hill struck for a career-high 32 points Friday night to propel the Cape Coral Seahawks to a convincing 77-55 victory over the Island Coast Gators at The Nest.

Hill sparked the Seahawks with 18 points in the first half as they opened a 39-24 halftime cushion.

The Gators shaved four points off the deficit in the third quarter, but the Seahawks won going away.

“This was our most consistent game,” said Seahawks coach Mark Rinehart

Senior Jordan Hrkach led the Gators with 18 points with 14 points coming from sophomore Isaac Aponte.

The Seahawks (10-12) play at Mariner Tuesday.

Bishop Verot 66, Dunbar 53: Jaquard Hagan tossed in a game-high 25 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds as Bishop Verot avenged an earlier loss to Dunbar with a victory over the Tigers.

Quinten Payne contributed 16 points and Bobby Thomas 12 for the Vikings (13-9), who visit Barron Collier Tuesday night.
