Man sought in robbery of market

Robbery suspect

On Monday, February 22, 2010, at 11:52 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a robbery. The incident occurred at the 7-11 located at 6326 Beau Drive, in North Fort Myers, Florida. Deputies responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, it was confirmed a black male, entered the store and demanded cash from the victim. The robber walked behind the counter and brutally punched the clerk in the head. The impact caused her to fall to the floor, but not before her head struck the counter. The suspect could be seen leaving the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk suffered some bruising, but did not require transport to the hospital.

The suspect was wearing a yellow shirt, blue jean shorts below the knees and white athletic shoes. He was described as approximately 5’11” tall, medium to heavy build with black hair and brown eyes. Surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this e-mail.
