HAITIAN FASHION SHOW SET AT CHURCH
First Community Congregational Church, 200 E. Leeland Heights Blvd. is sponsoring a Haitian Fashion Show with the young Development Group of Haiti on Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.
Eighteen models will be modeling attire of Haiti while explaining what city they are from in Haiti. Following the Fashion Show, Haitian dancing and Haitian desserts will be enjoyed by all. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy an afternoon of fun and excitement. The cost is $5 and 100 percent of the proceeds will be given to the Red Cross for Haiti.
LIONS TO HOLD CHICKEN BARBECUE ON FEB. 27
The Lehigh Lions Club will hold a chicken barbecue on Feb. 27 at the Masonic Temple on Ashlar Ave. from 11:30 to 4 p.m. The cost of the barbecue is $8 and take-outs are available. Proceeds go to the purchase of eye glasses for children and adults in Lehigh. For advance tickets, call Ralph Hemingway at 368-5096.
LUNCHEON, FASHION SHOW TO BENEFIT LEHIGH HOPE HOUSE
A special luncheon and fashion show will be presented by the General Woman’s Club of Lehigh Acres on March 13 at the Colonial Country Club on Colonial Blvd, just outside Lehigh. It begins at 11:30 a.m. and continues to around 2 p.m. Six members of the club will wear the newest spring fashions which will be supplied by Belk’s of the Gulf Coast Town Center on Treeline Blvd. Cost of the luncheon and fashion show is $20. APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED FOR FESTIVAL PAGEANTS
Lehigh Acres Spring Festival is now accepting applications for the Spring Festival Pageants for all children ranging from newborn through 18 years
of age.
Applications may be found on the website at lehighspringfestival.com or picked up from Morgan & Associates Title Company, Veterans Park Recreation Center, and the East County Regional Library on Gunnery Rd.

HOPE HOSPICE TO OFFER VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
Hope Hospice Volunteer Training Hope Hospice will offer volunteer orientation at its office located at 25
Homestead Road North, Suite 35 in Lehigh Acres on February 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Volunteers are needed for transportation and patient and family assistance.
No experience is necessary. A volunteer application, TB test, and criminal background check need to be completed prior to the class. Applications must
be received by February 19 in order to attend class.

This community yard sale will be held at the tennis court from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 20.

HAWAIIAN LUAU PLANNED BY ELKS ON FEB. 27
The Elks Lodge will have a Hawaiian Luau on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Lodge at 1050 Joel Blvd. with cocktails, 6 p.m., and dinner at 7 p.m. The menu consists of Hawaiian buffet.
