Two charged with theft of $4,600 in televisions

Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men on March 4 after they received a call concerning a suspicious vehicle parked behind the home located at, 1030 Alcalde Street East, occupied by two males.

Deputy Chris Tice responded and confronted both suspects in the back yard loading flat screen televisions into their vehicle, which they are accused of stealing from the home. Deputy Tice ordered them both to the ground and was able to take both into custody without incident, Detective Bray and Lucas handled the complete investigation, which resulted in the recovery of approximately $4,600 in stolen property, Brave District Capt. Ed Tamayo said today.

Suspects arrested were:

* Brandt Bates Jr. dob 6/21/92, 506 Henry Ave., Lehigh Acres, burglary to dwelling, grand theft and ossession of burglary tools.

* James Holland, dob 12/2/90, 4307 24th St. S.W., Lehigh Acres, burglary to dwelling, grand theft, and possession of burglary tools.
