Suspect sought
Sheriff’s deputies are searching today for a man who on Thursday, March 4, attacked a woman who was walking her dog in Fort Myers.
Officials said they received a 911 call about the attempted abduction shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies learned the 43-year-old victim had been walking her dog in the area of Winkler Road and Edgemere Drive in Fort Myers when an unknown Hispanic male grabbed her by her waist and attempted to pull her towards him, said Sgt. Stephanie Eller, with the Sheriff’s Office. The victim was able to fight off her attacker and see him flee the area in a white Suzuki.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, early 40s, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with hair just growing in, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, Eller said.
The vehicle is described as a white Suzuki Sidekick late 80s-early 90s model with a black cover on the spare tire on the rear and faded paint on driver’s side door.
