Komen Cancer Tourney raises more than $3,100
To The Editor:
The Susan G. Komen Cancer Tournament was held on March 6 at Majestic Golf Club.
I want to thank Jere Carrick and the staff for their cooperation. Also would like to thank all the volunteers and all the golfers who participated despite the cold morning.
Most of all I want to thank Doug Patterson who was responsible to get us “hole sponsors”: Goodlad Insurance; Coldwell Banker; Prism Aesthetics; Elsa & Perry Costello; Lehigh Discount Liquor; Healthy Gourmet; NDV Enterprises; Microtel Inns and Haney’s Cafe; Lehigh Shopping Centre which donated generously in these hard times.
Also a “big thank you” to all merchants and others who donated prizes.
This year we were slightly down in participants – probably due the cold weather.
We had 117 players and through raffles, 50/50 draws and donations we were able to send a check for $ 3,165 to the Susan G. Komen organization.
