The General Woman’s Club of Lehigh Acres will award several $500 scholarships to single parents with minor children living at home

The applicants must be currently enrolled in continuing education classes at an accredited college, university or technical school and be a resident of Lehigh.

Although there are no pre-printed application forms, those who are interested may sent a letter to Mrs. C. Neary, Scholarship Chairman, 303 Hollywood St., Lehigh Acres, FL., 33936.

The guidelines include being a Lehigh Acres resident, (send proof of residence); be a single parents with minor children living at home; name of the college or university or technical school in which the applicant is enrolled, a brief biography that includes the applicant’s area of study; supply street address and telephone number where the applicant can be contacted. No post office boxes allowed.

Also, applications must be received no later than April 17, 2010 in order to be considered. The awards will be presented on May 21, 2010.
