The General Woman’s Club of Lehigh Acres has taken up a collection from members and added to to the collection with a check for $322 which has been taken to Lehigh Regional Medical Center which is accepting financial donations for Haitian relief due to the recent earthquake.

The club also plans to make a $6,000 donation to Hope Hospice’s Lehigh facility to furnish one room in the new care unit being build off of Beth Stacey Blvd.

To help finance this donation, the Woman’s Club is holding a Vacation Getaway Raffle for seven days and six nights to the Dover House Resort at Delray Beach, Fla.

The vacation package was donated by Landex Resorts International in Lehigh.

The drawing was held at the Woman’s Club annual Fashion show held at Colonial Country Club outside of Fort Myers on March 13.
