Clyde E. Ballard

Clyde E. Ballard, 58, of Clewiston, died March 20, 2010 in Lehigh Acres. He was born March 5, 1952 in Fort Myers, the son of the late Ernest and Aleta Mae (Corbitt) Ballard. Ballard married Deborah Stokes. He was a plasterer.

Survivors include his wife: Deborah (Stokes) Ballard, daughter; Stephanie (Mike) Stuber of Kingsland, Ga., sons; James (Tara) Ballard of Englewood, Fla., Matthew Ballard of Kingsland, Ga., Russell Ballard of Englewood, Fla., and two brothers: Edward (Carolyn) Long of LaBelle, Toby (Debbie) Ballard of LaBelle, and two sisters: Margaret (Tim) Spencer of Tennessee, Debi (Jim) Dilling of Cape Coral, and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Ballard, mother, Aleta Mae Ballard, and brothers, Howard Long and Steven Ballard.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 560 E. Hickpochee Ave., LaBelle with Pastor Rick Cappale officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, LaBelle, which is handled arrangements.
