Is hotdog vendor asking for signatures?

By Staff | Mar 25, 2010

To the Editor,

I’m a regular Lehigh resident that recently moved over here from the east coast of florida, I’ve been here for about six months now, familiarizing and my family with the area and I just so happen to see the story in The Citizen going on with the hotdog vendor being shut down by code enforcement.

I was wanting to know since he does have all the licenses needed for him to operate his business, I would like to know now since the county wants to say he can’t operate his business without regards to the measures he’s taken, to lawfully operate, would a petition from the lehigh Acres residents make a difference since it appears there is a close disconnection withthe people in downtown to the actual residents of lehigh since thisindividual was assisted by fellow residents on getting his proper licenses.

Yes he is asking for signatures and plans to approach the County Commission. Even though he and others have paid all the fees, they say they were not told they could not operate in Lehigh because it is an unincorporated community. – Ed.
