This year’s Junior and Adult Lehigh Acres Festival Idols were voted winners of the contest Friday night at the final Idol Contest at Veterans Park in Lehich Acres.

The winners were in the adult category, Crystal Waters, shown at left. Raven Clark was the winner in the Junior Idol Contest, shown in the middle. Vicki Culver, who emceed the contest nightly is shown presenting the winners with their certificates.

The Idol Contest is patterned much like the much acclaimed American Idol Contest on TV. There is a panel of judges and the audience does the voting each night eliminating a list of contenders.

The parade begins today at 11 a.m. and winds its way down Homestead Rd. to Arthur Ave. The rest of the afternoon, thousands are expected to be at Veterans Park for more events and to enjoy the Midway and its rides and food vendors.
