The illegal sale, use and distribution of narcotics is recognized as a significant contributor to violent crimes, burglaries and thefts which can dramatically affect the quality of life in our community. Therefore, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is making every effort to take drugs off the street by targeting individuals who are active participants in this unsavory underworld. This is being accomplished through aggressive patrol, undercover operations and interagency investigations with local, state and federal drug enforcement agencies.

In the past week the Lee County Sheriff’s Office made a total of 19 drug arrests. To educate and enhance awareness of the Sheriff’s Office daily activities in this endeavor the following arrests are being listed:

On March 15, 2010, at approximately 08:40 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Luis Alberto Cruz, D.O.B. 12/30/89, of 1600 Clear Lake

Loop, Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The

incident occurred in the area of Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers.

On March 16, 2010, at approximately 01:20 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Vicky Nicole Taylor, D.O.B. 08/01/83, of 2409 Xelda Ave,

Lehigh Acres, on felony drug charges for Possession of Controlled

Substance without a Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of 4711

Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers.

On March 16, 2010, at approximately 02:02 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Casey Michael O’Malley, D.O.B. 07/09/90, of 412 Desoto

Ave, Fort Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana.

The incident occurred in the area of Homestead Rd. / Leeland Heights,

Lehigh Acres.

On March 16, 2010, at approximately 02:39 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Robert Frank Garza Jr., D.O.B. 05/25/91, of 414 Desoto

Deputies arrested Robert Louis Smith, D.O.B. 04/18/86, of 1763 Woodward

Ave, North Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Controlled

Substance without a Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of 548

Ellis Street, North Fort Myers.

On March 17, 2010, at approximately 05:07 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Ali Emrullah Turkan, D.O.B. 07/25/88, of 23540 Walden

Center Dr., Bonita Springs, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of US 41 / Pelican Landing,

Bonita Springs.

On March 17, 2010, at approximately 05:10 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Alexandra Deutsch, D.O.B. 10/22/89, of 23540 Walden

Center Dr, Bonita Springs, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Deputies arrested Kimberly Ledwell, D.O.B. 12/15/83, of 815 W Park Ave, on

felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The incident occurred in the

area of 1521 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Fort Myers.

On March 17, 2010, at approximately 07:42 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Shawn William Starker, D.O.B. 02/24/79, of 8955 Andover

Street, Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The

incident occurred in the area of Crystal Dr / Metro Pkwy, Fort Myers.

On March 17, 2010, at approximately 10:06 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Kyle Andrew Purdy, D.O.B. 12/28/90, of 8901 Cypress

Preserve Pl., Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of

Controlled Substance without a Prescription. The incident occurred in the

area of Oak Dr. / Third Ave, Fort Myers.

On March 18, 2010, at approximately 01:56 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Carolee Jeanette Anderson, D.O.B. 03/31/81, of 716 Homer

Ave. S, Lehigh Acres, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine.

The incident occurred in the area of Leonard Blvd. S/ Owen Blvd, Lehigh

Acres.

On March 18, 2010, at approximately 03:30 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Mack Arthur Young, D.O.B. 06/20/89, of 2600 SW 28th St.,

Lehigh Acres, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine /

Possession of Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of 3rd St. W. /

Gunnery Rd. N, Lehigh Acres.

On March 18, 2010, at approximately 03:46 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Louis Michael Pasquazzi, D.O.B. 05/20/70, of 422

Greenwood Ave, Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of

Cocaine. The incident occurred in the area of 3rd St. W / Gunnery Rd.,

On March 19, 2010, at approximately 05:33 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Arthur Lee Toombs, D.O.B. 09/05/80, of 852 Countess

Ave, Lehigh Acres, on felony drug charges for Possession of Marijuana with

Intent to Sell / Deliver. The incident occurred in the area of 4th Street W / Lee

Blvd., Lehigh Acres.

On March 19, 2010, at approximately 05:58 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Arron John Almquist, D.O.B. 10/22/80, of 3711 19th Street,

Substance without a Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of

Gregory Ave / Leonard Blvd, Lehigh Acres.

On March 19, 2010, at approximately 07:16 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Clifton Rondell Thomas, D.O.B. 11/06/65, of 5528 5th Ave,

Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to

Sell / Deliver, Possession of Cocaine. The incident occurred in the area of

9651 Cypress Lake, Fort Myers.

On March 20, 2010, at approximately 04:03 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Jose Alcazar, D.O.B. 12/03/85, of 16180 Dublin Circle, Fort

Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell

/ Deliver, Smuggle Contraband into a Controlled Facility. The incident

occurred in the area of Oliver Ave. S / 7th Street SW, Lehigh Acres.

On March 21, 2010, at approximately 03:44 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Salvador Ayala Jr., D.O.B. 10/02/79, of 815 Alabama Rd.,

Lehigh Acres, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana.

The incident occurred in the area of Homestead Rd. / Lee Blvd., Lehigh

On March 21, 2010, at approximately 04:29 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Allison Nicole Cruz, D.O.B. 10/28/77, of 4341 Bay Beach

Lane, Fort Myers Beach, on felony drug charges for Possession of

area of 2201 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach.
