Winners listed for Festival events

Several days and nights during the Lehigh Acres Spring Festival were competitions from a pet show to crafts, desserts and arts and more.

The judging was done in a tent near the main stage of the Festival and is an annual event at the Festival now for more than three decades.

Below are winners of these competitions.

The winners of the Pet Show, which was held March 20 are:

* 1st Place Alyssa Herb and Miles Pet Show, Cats Orange Tabby

* 1st Place Sue Horvath and Sugar, Pet Show Best of Show, Small Dogs Chihuahua,

* 2nd Place Jalen Centeno and Snickers, Pet Show Small Dogs Miniature Australian Shepherd

* 3rd Place Andrea Delgado and Peso, Pet Show Small Dogs Chihuahua

* 1st Place Morgan Sperrazza and Swiper, Pet Show Medium Dogs Shiba Inu.

* 2nd Place Jaime Martin and Roxy, Pet Show Medium Dogs Boxer.

* 3rd Place Anita Rush and Lady Bug, Pet Show Medium Dogs Snoodle.

* 1st Place Kelly Angus and Matty, Pet Show Large Dogs Labrador.

* 2nd Place Kimberly Gordon and Jessic, Pet Show Large Dogs.

Siberian Husky.

* 3rd Place Larry Fryers and Bridgette, Pet Show Large Dogs Irish Setter.

* Best of Show was Sue Horvath & Sugar,her Chihuahua (Beige color).

The pet show was held in the pavilion in the rear of the park on the lake.

The following were winners in the Tuesday, March 22 Crafts Contest at the Lehigh Spring Festival. The competitions were held under the auspices of Patty Herb with help from Maria Richter and Karen Hoppe. They are as follows:

* Quilting, front left, Betty Gould, first and third and Best of Show, and Pat Barton, second place.

* Crafts, Randy Layman, first place.

* Crochet, from left, Norma O’Connor, first place and second place; and Joyce Jepherson, third place.

* Dolls, Leonore Del Cestillo, first place.

* Beadwork and Jewelry, Rosemary Mellett, first place.

* Macrame, Gloria Skenne, first place.

* Mosaic, from left, Donna Collison, first place and Linda Washburn, second and third place.

These are the winners in Arts competition on March 23.

* Art, children, elementary, Tyler Hoppe, first place.

* Arts, Children Elementary, Brook Robinson, second place.

* Sketchings, Alyssa Herb, first and third place.

* Paintings, shown from left, Pat Franson, first place; Billie Walker, second place; Pat Chevalier, third. Walker also won Best of Show.

* Youth Painting, High School, from left, Kira Herb, second place; and Ashley Forman, first and third place.

In the Desserts Division held March 24, the following were winners:

*Cakes, first, Jesse Evans,second, Carlos Mena, and third, Alyssa Herb.

*Pies, first, Carla Underwood.

*Desserts, first, Carla Underwood,second, Kessia Herb.

*Cupcakes, first, Val Berrios, second.

*Best of Show, Val Berrios (Spaghettiand Meatball cupcakes).
