The Lehigh Acres Relay for Life committee met to put the final touches on the Lehigh Acres American Cancer Relay Walk to be held on April 17 -18 at the Lehigh Senior High School track.

Opening ceremonies will be at 3 p.m., said Liz Eilf, who handles publicity for the Relay.

The theme is television personalities and the 35 teams from Lehigh will dress in costumes of characters in the show.

Eilf said there will be music, games, food, and several contests from 4:30 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Sunday.

The money raised from the team fund-raising events will stay in Lee County and Lehigh Acres to help the cancer patients in the area.

Elif said friends of those who are walking and those from the public may attend and articiate in the walk.
