Lee County Public Schools have announced the winners of the 2010 Media Specialists of the Year. They are:

* Michelle Harclerode, Diplomat Elementary School, Cape Coral

* Deb Hanson, Veterans Park Academy for the Arts in Lehigh Acres

* Harriet Mottaz, Cape Coral High School.

Colleagues and administrators from across the District had the opportunity to nominate those media specialists they felt went above and beyond in performing their duties, school officials said. Those nominating a media specialist had to provide a response to the following three points:
