Lehigh Acres Brownie/Junior Girl Scout Troop 746 invited the community to their Flower Fairy Tea Party on April 8 in the Lehigh Acres Senior Center on Plaza Drive. About 100 seniors were greeted by the girls bedecked in handmade floral head wreaths, fairy-like costumes and their uniforms with banners of earned Girl Scout badges.

Center Director Teresa Perkins welcomed the scouts and invited guests. More than 25 girl scouts and their leaders hosted the buffet.

On stage, Girl Scout Leader Jennifer Charette presented her Troop #746 and each scout introduced herself. They presented a Fun Fashion Show with story book fashions from head to toe. A sing-along included funny camp songs, dancing and closed with traditional Girl Scout songs. The Scouts mingled with guests enjoying the younger generation.

Girl Scout Troop 746 was congratulated for earning another community service badge for their hospitality and entertainment. The new troop meets weekly on Wednesdays, 6:30 to 8 p.m., in Veterans Park Recreation Center.
