Letters: ECWCD commissioners get warning

By Staff | Apr 13, 2010

To The Editor,

With times being tough, people struggling, why is it that our commissioners on the East County Water Control District feel now is the time to push

forward expensive projects?

Now more then ever is the time to only spend

what you need, not what you want. People all across the nation as our economy slowly rebuilds itself are doing just that spending only what they have to, why is it that our local elected officials at the ECWCD seem to not be able to do what the many voters who put them in their office are having to do at home right now.

If a building is needed, buy or build what you need, not what you want for sometime down the road in the future, because we the people simply can not afford it at this time, in the present.

Yes, our community is growing which requires more, but our community is also hurting.

I as a concerned citizen of the ECWCD ask that our commissioners change course, or the very community they are choosing to ignore will ensure change in November.
