Miracle washed out Sunday

By Staff | Apr 19, 2010

Sunday’s final game of a three-game series between the Fort Myers Miracle (2-7) and the Palm Beach Cardinals (3-5) was postponed by rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday, June 21.

The Miracle dropped the first two games of the series, 4-2 in 10 innings Friday, and 7-2 Saturday.

Kyle Gibson, the Twins’ first round pick in last year’s MLB draft, was slated to make his third start of the season as the Miracle looked to snap a three-game losing streak. They finished 2-4 on their seven-game road swing that included stops in Bradenton, Port Charlotte, and Palm Beach.

The Miracle return to Hammond Stadium Monday to start a stretch of seven home games in their next eight games. The Charlotte Stone Crabs open a three-game series beginning Monday and then the Bradenton Marauders visit Thursday with a home-and-home split in Bradenton Friday.

The Miracle welcome the Palm Beach Cardinals to Hammond Stadium for a three-game series starting Saturday.
