Money going to Children’s Hospital
Paul Todd Charities recently gifted over $24,000 to the Jen’s Kids Fund at The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. The funds were raised at a recent Paul Todd & Friends concert held at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Center in Fort Myers, the charities group said.
The Harry Chapin Food Bank also received a portion of the concert’s proceeds.
The new funding will go to support renovations to some of the pediatric rooms at The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. The renovations willenable children and young adults to have a more appealing and comfortable place to stay while receiving medical treatment.
Inside and Out Fashion Show is set
Come enjoy fashion, ‘accessorizing’ tips, and skits at a the Beauty Inside and Out Fashion Show. The fun starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday April 24, at the Lehigh Acres Nazarene Church located at 210 LeeBlvd.
Women of all ages will be showing off clothes and talents at this two-hour event. Light refreshments will be provided. Tickets are $2 per person. Call the church at 369-4001 to reserve tickets or for more information.
Kreegel aide to be in Lehigh April 22
A legislative aide from Rep. Paige V. Kreegel (District 72) will be at the East County Regional Library on Thursday, April 22 to meet for an hour with local residents over state-related matters. Yacht Club dinner set for April 28
The monthly meeting of the Fort Myers Beach Yacht Club, founded 1953 and consisting of more than 100 members, will be held Wednesday, April 28 at the American Legion Post 274 on San Carlos Island at 899 Buttonwood Drive, Fort Myers Beach.
Dinner will be catered and is available for $14 a person. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m., and the membership meeting is from 8 to 9 p.m.

Win cash in LRMC Photo Contest
Health Management Associates and Lehigh Regional Medical Center have announced the call for entries for their annual photography contest. Entries will be accepted now through Monday, May 31.
Prizes will be awarded for the top four photographs chosen by a panel of judges. Winners will be chosen based on the photo’s relevance, creativity,

LRMC Auxiliary to offer scholarships
The Lehigh Regional Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary will award several scholarship to applicants studying for a medical degree.
You must be a Lehigh resident. You can pick up an application at the front desk at the hospital.

Register now to be Lehigh Hope Hospice volunteer
Hope Hospice will offer volunteer orientation at its new Hope Health Care Center located at 1201 Wings Way, Lehigh Acres, off Beth Stacey Blvd. on Thursday, April 22. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Hospice officials say you can make a difference in the life of someone in your neighborhood. Volunteers are needed for transportation and patient and family
assistance. No experience necessary. A volunteer application, TB test, and criminal background check need to be completed prior to the class.
