Miss Latina Teen competitions open

Applications are available for the Miss Teen Latina fort Myers – World and Miss Latina fort Myers pageant. The pageant will be held Saturday, June 5 at the Renaissance Country Club in fort Myers.

This pageant is an official preliminary to Miss Teen Florida – World and Miss Florida US International. It is open to any young lady who is from Hispanic heritage. The ages for the teen contestants are 13 to 18 and Miss contestants from 18 to 24.

Contestants will be judged in three areas for competition including swimsuit, evening gown and interview. There will be prizes, scholarships as well as the official crown and banner and their entry into the state competition.

Alva summer camp filling up fast

Traditional Summer Camp at the Alva Community Center offers a full day of excitement. This camp is for children ages 6 to 13. The camp day begins as

early as 7:30 a.m.and ends at 6 p.m. Day camp activities include arts and crafts, sports, organized games, quiet play, educational speakers, water

activities, outdoor activities, field trips, skating, swimming, and much more, said Sandra Bates from the Parks & Recreation Dept. who oversees the Alva site.

To ensure your child’s safest experience possible, each carefully chosen camp counselor has passed a background check, and has undergone training in

Win cash in LRMC Photo Contest

Health Management Associates and Lehigh Regional Medical Center have announced the call for entries for their annual photography contest. Entries will be accepted now through Monday, May 31.

LRMC Auxiliary to offer scholarships

The Lehigh Regional Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary will award several scholarship to applicants studying for a medical degree.

You must be a Lehigh resident. You can pick up an application at the front desk at the hospital.
