Memorial Day services will be held at 10 a.m. at Lee Memorial Park on SR82 on Monday, May 31.

Invitations have been sent out to veterans groups but others are also inivited to attend the ceremony.

This year’s speaker will be Larry D’Angelo of the Disabled American Veterans. Wreaths will be la placed at the Veterans Wall by the different veterans group in Lehigh Acres.

On Veterans Day, ceremonies are held at Veterans Park in Lehigh while on Memorial Day each year, ceremonies are held at the cemetery on the edge of Lehigh.

This year’s event is sponsored by the VFW Post 4147 and other veterans groups are participating. Seating will be under tents in the shade.

After services, visitors are invited to some of the veterans posts where luncheons and refreshments are serviced.
