Miracle’s Pugh tosses shutout

By Staff | Apr 29, 2010

After going winless in his first three starts, Fort Myers pitcher Bruce Pugh gave the Miracle a sensational seven-inning effort, allowing four hits to go with 12 strikeouts, in a 3-0 shutout of Jupiter Wednesday night.

The Miracle snapped a five-game losing streak and is their first win over the Hammerheads this season. In a quick two-hour, 16-minute game, the Miracle posted their first shutout of the season.

After Pugh, a pair of ex-Florida Gator relievers kept the shutout intact. Tony Davis pitched a 1-2-3 eighth and Billy Bullock earned his third save of the year with a scoreless ninth to seal the win.
