Hugh Clifford Scanlon is dead at 50

Hugh Clifford Scanlon, 50, died in his sleep, Saturday, May 1, 2010. He was the proprietor of Old Fashioned Auto at 1209 Homestead Rd. N., Lehigh Acres, and he was a certified master mechanic.
A resident of Lee County for 23 years, Scanlon is survived by his wife of 22 years, Janice, and by his son and business partner, Clifford. Many relatives and friends are saddened by Scanlon’s departure; his father, Richard F. Scanlon and his father’s wife, Aida Prevallet; and mother-in-law, Clara B. Wilcox.
He is survived by his siblings Richard Francis, Ann Marie and Gregory Charles. There are five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was an animal lover and raised three dogs and two cats. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Marie Fleck.
Visitation was to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 and between 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 8 at the Anderson – Patterson Cremation and Funeral Services chapel, 2701 Lee Blvd. Lehigh Acres, (239) 368 – 7080.
