Carmelo Santos

Carmelo Santos, 94, of Lehigh Acres died Friday May 7, 2010. Born May 18, 1915 in Najaranito, Puerto Rico, he retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1982. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #6265, American Legion Post #323, and was a Paul Harris Fellow in the Rotary Club.

He is survived by his son, Carmelo (Lydia) Santos Jr., his daughter, Rosemary (James) Bolla, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Santos was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Oct. 11, 2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday May 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Lehigh. Entombment to follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
