Caribbean American Club plans dinner

Kreegel aide to be in Lehigh

Rep. Paige V. Kreegel (D-72) is sending a aide on his staff to Lehigh Acres on Thursday, May 13 and Thursday, May 27 to discuss any comments or state related issues the citizens may have. Cape Art League hosting sale, show

The Cape Coral Art League is hosting a $99 or Under Sale of original art work at it’s gallery at 516 Cultural Park Blvd, Cape Coral. The sale and show will remain in the gallery until September 20, 2010.

Original art by member artists of the league is available at great prices, promoters say. There are 67 pieces of art currently in the show and as pieces are sold they will be replaced with fresh art.

Hours for the sale are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the summer.

The public is invited to stop in and view the show and may purchase and take their piece at the time of purchase.

Alva summer camp filling up

Traditional Summer Camp at the Alva Community Center offers a full day of excitement. This camp is for children ages 6 to 13. The camp day begins as

early as 7:30 a.m.and ends at 6 p.m. Day camp activities include arts and crafts, sports, organized games, quiet play, educational speakers, water

activities, outdoor activities, field trips, skating, swimming, and much more, said Sandra Bates from the Parks & Recreation Dept. who oversees the Alva site.

To ensure your child’s safest experience possible, each carefully chosen camp counselor has passed a background check, and has undergone training in

CPR/first aid. Regular registration is $67 per week per child. You can register online at:
