Willard Baker, who has been a patient at Lehigh Regional Medical Center for the past two weeks has been transferred to Tampa General Hospital, according to friends and family.

Baker is a community leader in Lehigh and serves on various boards and is or has been a member of several clubs and organizations. He is best known perhaps for his fight to have more sidewalks built in Lehigh. He is an active member of the Lehigh Acres Community Planning Corp. (LCPC).

Tampa General has an ICU unit that specializes in the treatment of patients with pancreatic problems.
