Reader says vote commissioners out of office
To the Editor:
It appears that a “throw the bums out” movement is growing as the people are becoming more fed up with their elected officials regardless of which political party they belong to.
The recent primary results confirm our suspicion that the revolution is coming is proving too be true. On the local scene, the LAFD will have three seats changed this November and with the East County Water Control District board’s expected actions of voting to get a $7 million bond issue at this pasty Monday’s meeting will also seal the fate of Commissioners Neil Horrom and John Boardman to not be returned to office.
My survey of citizens shows that more than 90 percent of Lehigh voters are not going to return them to office.
Commissioner Mike Welch has asked them to vote on letting the people decide on getting a loan – so the vote would be 4 to 1 against the people and with the statement of Commissioner Boardman that they should raise taxes for a total of what is needed for seven years in one year so they will not have to be bothered discussing taxes every year will put him out of office for sure. You are urged to keep adding to your contact lists and be ready to start when election time nears. Frank Lohlein

Editor’s Note: No vote was held Monday night about a $7 million bond issue.
