To The Editor:

Yes there are angels in Lehigh Acres.

On Thursday, May 6, I was sitting in the car in the 21st Century Oncology parking lot on Lee Blvd. My cell rang and it was my home alarm company saying that my house alarm system was going off at my home which is only five minutes away.

As my fiance was inside receiving radiation treatments, I told the alarm company not to notify the police; that I would drive home and investigate it myself and I would call the police, if necessary.

I drove home and as I was coming around the corner into my driveway, a postman was driving up to my mailbox, heard the alarm, saw that I was alone and offered to go inside with me to see if anyone had broken into my house.

I said that I would appreciate his help. So he locked his truck and came inside while I checked out all of the rooms.

Thank goodness there was no one around and we found out that there was a malfunction of the alarm system. Thank goodness for people who offer their help in times of need. I am sorry I did not even find out this young man’s name. However, I shall be ever grateful for his help. I hope he will see this letter.
