The South Florida Cruisers, a high school travel softball team, began the summer season last weekend by winning the NSA Fort Myers National Qualifier tournament. The 18U Cruisers will return to Kissimmee in August to defend their FAST National Championship. The Cruisers, made up of players from Ida Baker, Mariner, Riverdale and Gulf Coast, were 5-0 in the NSA Qualifier, outscoring opponents 40-4, including a 10-1 win over West Coast Elite in the championship game.
