FROM THE LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE:

The illegal sale, use and distribution of narcotics is recognized as a significant contributor to violent crimes, burglaries and thefts which can dramatically affect the quality of life in our community. Therefore, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is making every effort to take drugs off the street by targeting individuals who are active participants in this unsavory underworld. This is being accomplished through aggressive patrol, undercover operations and interagency investigations with local, state and federal drug enforcement agencies.

In the past week the Lee County Sheriff’s Office made a total of 12 drug arrests. To educate and enhance awareness of the Sheriff’s Office daily activities in this endeavor the following arrests are being listed:

On May 24, 2010, at approximately 01:35 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Jackson Braswell Muse, D.O.B. 11/09/89, of 6498 7 Royal Woods

Dr., Fort Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana.

The incident occurred in the area of 14589 Eagle Ridge Drive, Fort Myers.

On May 25, 2010, at approximately 12:54 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Benton Wayne Brindley, D.O.B. 01/14/85, of 517 Highland Ave,

Lehigh Acres, on felony drug charges for Possession of Marijuana with

Intent to Sell/Deliver. The incident occurred in the area of E.11th Street /

Dayton Ave., Lehigh Acres.

On May 25, 2010, at approximately 03:33 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested John Christopher Riddle, D.O.B. 04/21/86, of 3480 Broadway West,

Estero, on felony drug charges for Possession of Controlled Substance

without a Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of Carrell / Fowler,

Fort Myers.

On May 25, 2010, at approximately 03:57 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Pascal Howard Davis, D.O.B. 05/01/87, of 17530 Stepping Stone

Dr, Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine,

Possession of Controlled Substance without a Prescription. The incident

occurred in the area of Carrell / Fowler, Fort Myers.

On May 25, 2010, at approximately 05:46 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Merrick Kevin Gaskin, D.O.B. 12/23/62, of 3325 Cross Street, Fort

Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana. The

incident occurred in the area of Marsh Ave. / Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers.

On May 25, 2010, at approximately 06:16 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Bruce James, D.O.B. 12/19/85, of 3501 Dale Street, Fort Myers, on

misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana. The incident

occurred in the area of Montego Dr. / Cristobal St., Fort Myers.

On May 26, 2010, at approximately 03:41 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Timothy Barrett Jr., D.O.B. 04/24/85, of 4012 SW 8th St, Lehigh

Acres, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijauna. The

incident occurred in the area of Pondella Rd. / N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort

Myers.

On May 26, 2010, at approximately 03:50 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Heather Lynn Newell, D.O.B. 08/02/75, of 4226 SW 25th Place,

Cape Coral, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The incident

occurred in the area of Steward St. / Ortiz Ave, Fort Myers.

On May 26, 2010, at approximately 05:53 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Kenneth Baker Jr., D.O.B. 10/16/84, of 6292 Demery Cir, Fort

arrested James Robert Taylor, D.O.B. 10/27/80, of 2737 Riverbluff Place, on

On May 29, 2010, at approximately 10:06 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Calvin Powell Jr., D.O.B. 02/27/87, of 2602 Haviland Ave, Lehigh

Acres, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possesison of Marijuana. The

incident occurred in the area of Haviland Ave S / Meadow Rd, Lehigh Acres .

On May 29, 2010, at approximately 09:01 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Georgiana Wright, D.O.B. 06/26/89, of 11296 Summerwinds Ct, Fort

Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana. The

incident occurred in the area of Cypress Lake Dr / Warwick Cir, Fort Myers.

Illegal drugs cost everyone: they ruin families, destroy neighborhoods, increase incidents of crime and can ultimately end in death.
