Nikki Mae Smith

Nikki Mae Smith, 38, of Lehigh Acres, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Hope Hospice after succumbing to a long and brave battle with cancer. She was born March 29, 1972, in Dearborn, Mich., and graduated from Romulus High School, in Romulus, Mich. in 1990.She and her family moved to Lehigh Acres in 2009.

Smith is survived by her husband, Robert Smith; two children, Amanda, 17, and Robert Jr., 10;sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Frank Head of Westland, Mich.; an aunt, Brynda Riddle of Rapid City, South Dakota; an uncle, Gedas and Aunt Nancy Vysniauskas of Ossian, Ind.; an uncle, Johnnie and an aunt, Janet Riddle of Akron, Ohio.The smallest survivor is “Gidget”, the family Chihuahua, Nikki’s favorite dog breed.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Lehigh Acres, 507 Sunshine Blvd., on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, starting at 10 a.m.

The family and friends would like to extend their deepest respect and graditude to the staff and volunteers at Hope Hospice, Lehigh Acres, the Regional Cancer Center of Fort Myers, and the First Baptist Church of Lehigh Acres.
