By Staff | Jun 13, 2010

Today wraps up two days of high school graduations from Lehigh Acres schools. Some 300 students graduated from Lehigh Senior High School Saturday at the Lee County Civic Center in North Fort Myers and today, East Lee County High School officials planned to pass out diplomas to its 2010 graduating class at the Harborside Event Center in Fort Myers. Ceremonies were set for 2 p.m.

This year’s graduations from Lee County schools were split between the two days of this weekend with around 2,000 seniors getting their diplomas.

School ends this week in Lee County on Tuesday for thousands of students.

Seven county public schools held graduation ceremonies on Saturday and today, some 2,269 seniors from six high schools will say good bye to their class mates and throw their caps up in the air to mark the special event. Thousands of parents, grandparents, and friends have attended the various high school graduations.

Nearby Riverdale High School planned to hold its graduation today, too, at 2 p.m. at the Lee County civic Center in North Fort Myers.
