Dorothy Hurlburt

Dorothy Scofield (Worthington) Hurlburt, 78, of Lehigh Acres died Thursday, June 24, 2010. She was formerly of Somers, Conn., where she was a member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association and the Southern Draft Horse Association.

She is survived by her children, Gladys (William) Liedtke and Paul Worthington all of Lehigh Acres; five stepchildren, Jake (Karen) Hurlburt, Barbara (Bill) Johnson, Ann (Phil) St. Jarre, Carl (Sue) Hurlburt and Margie (Rick) Lees all of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Lee (Jennifer) Liedtke and Jean Liedtke, her great-grandchildren, Leigh Ali (Mike) Parent and Mackenzie and Landon Liedtke, her great-great grandson Gavin Parent, several step-grandchildren; her sister Ginny (John) Bash and her brother, Bill (Shirley) Scofield. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Worthington and her second husband, Edwin Hurlburt.

Visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 1100 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres on Monday, June 28 from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Lehigh Acres Fire District.
