The following upcoming public meetings are scheduled in Lehigh Acres. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in local issues.

Lehigh Acres Community Planning Corp. (LACPC) meets on July 14 at 6:30 p.m . at Veterans Park Community Center. The LACPC meets on the second Wednesday night of each month and is open to the public.

East County Water Control District (ECWCD) meets at 6:30 p.m. on July 19 at its office on East County Lane off of Lee Blvd. A budget meeting will be held June 28. Call 368-0044 for more information.

The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District will meet at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 21 at Veterans Park Community Center.

Lehigh Community Council will meet Monday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Living Waters Christian Fellowship Church at 500 N. Sunshine blvd., next to Doc’s Auto Repair (the former Fleet Reserve building). The Lehigh Acres Street District Advisory Committee meets at 1 p.m. at Veterans Park Community Center on the second Friday of each month and is open to the public. This is where you go if you want to apply for a street light on your street.
