On July 8, 2010, members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit, Lehigh Acres’ Bravo District Selective Enforcement Team (SET), and the Highway Interdiction Unit conducted a Driver’s License and Registration checkpoint. The location of the checkpoint was SR 82 and Lydia Street. The operation started at 7 p.m. and ended at midnight.

The results from the checkpoint are as follows:

Arrests: 12

Traffic Citations Issued: 23

Warnings Issued: 19

Recovered stolen vehicle: 1

Vehicles Passing Through Checkpoint: 443
