Linda Lea Carter

Linda Lea Carter, 54, of Lehigh Acres, died surrounded by family on July 9, 2010 after a battle with lung cancer. A resident of Lehigh Acres for more than 23 years, she was born in Princeton, Missouri on September 30, 1955 to William “Elmer” Nickell and Joan Nickell.

She is survived by her husband John Jay Carter of 38 years, three sons; Donald Carter, and his wife Crystal Carter of Phoenix City, AL, John E. Carter and his wife Yadira Carter of Lehigh Acres, Ronald Carter of Lehigh Acres, and daughter Tanya Morales of Lehigh Acres, father Elmer Nickell of East Moline, IL, sister Debbie Weber and her husband Randy Weber of Hampton, IL, as well as 11 grandchildren, Kennon Morrison, Ashley Carter, Eric Carter, Katie Carter, Tyler Carter, Jason Carter, Timothy Morales, Samantha Morales, Olivia Carter, Thomas Morales and Madison Carter.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Friday July 16, 2010 at the Anderson-Patterson Cremation and Funeral Services chapel, 2701 Lee Blvd Lehigh Acres, Florida 33971. A Memorial Service will begin at 7 p.m., Rev. Bob Lockwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Hospice 9470 HealthPark Circle Fort Myers, FL 33908.
