Lee County Parks and Recreation officials at the Alva Community Center at 21471 N. River Rd. in Alva are looking for volunteers who are 21 years or older.

Spokeswoman Sandra Bates said they need volunteers to help with children’s programs and club recreation from Monday to Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. It would include such things as arts and crafts, outside games, special events such as Cookies with Kris in December and Fun Days this year and next and Spring Break activities in 2011 and summer camp next year, too.
