This is the election (mid term presidential) that people, for some reason, do not take seriously. In the last two turnouts, the percentage of voters casting ballots in the primary in Lehigh were 13 percent and 16 overall in Lee County.

Democrats and Republicans have many races in which they will choose who represents them in the general election on 2010.

Judges and school board members are also selected in this raced.

So now is the time for everyone to care and make a choice and vote.

You can do early voting at the East County Library from Aug. 9 through Aug. 21 or at your polling place on Aug. 24. Make your vote count. Make your vote heard.
