As I write, it is day 101 of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The “Party of No’ has struck again or has it?

Florida’s legislative special session lasted two hours because the legislators refused to deal with the problems in Florida especially those resulting from the oil well spill that contaminated our Gulf waters in the Panhandle of the state.

In their zest not to work with Gov. Charlie Crist, legislators cost taxpayers money and did not do what we pay them to do.

Crist then issued an executive order with no input from the legislature.

The real losers once again are the Florida taxpayers. The people continue to look for a government, at all levels that will represent them. Once again, where is “of and by and for the people”?

Once again, I beg you to vote on Aug. 24 and again on Nov. 2 of this year.
