Defenseman Phil Paquet Thursday became the fourth player to sign with the Florida Everblades for the upcoming ECHL season.

Three players from last season’s squad have now re-signed with the club. Returning to the Blades with Paquet are defenseman Mitch McColm, 23, and his former collegiate teammate, forward Shea Guthrie

In his rookie season, Paquet put together a solid effort with 15 points (2g, 13a) while posting a plus-10 rating in 53 regular season games. He also contributed two assists in nine Kelly Cup Playoff games.

A seventh-round draft pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2005, Paquet spent the previous four seasons at the collegiate level at Clarkson University.

The Everblades’ season begins on Oct. 15 when they host the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. at Germain Arena.
