From the Lee County Sheriff’s Office

The illegal sale, use and distribution of narcotics is recognized as a significant contributor to violent crimes, burglaries and thefts which can dramatically affect the quality of life in our community. Therefore, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is making every effort to take drugs off the street by targeting individuals who are active participants in this unsavory underworld. This is being accomplished through aggressive patrol, undercover operations and interagency investigations with local, state and federal drug enforcement agencies.

In the past week the Lee County Sheriff’s Office made a total of 12 drug arrests. To educate and enhance awareness of the Sheriff’s Office daily activities in this endeavor the following arrests are being listed:

On August 16, 2010, at approximately 06:09 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested James Bodensky, D.O.B. 11/21/59, of 207 Kingston Drive,

Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Controlled Substance

without a Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of W. Terry St. /

Williams Rd., Bonita Springs.

On August 16, 2010, at approximately 11:13 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Terrick Vernon Meggie, D.O.B. 05/10/87, of 3600 Lansing

Loop, Estero, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana.

The incident occurred in the area of Cypress View / Estero Pkwy, Estero.

On August 17, 2010, at approximately 11:44 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Jose Fernando Arrieta, D.O.B. 07/25/90, of 1585 A Road,

LaBelle, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The incident

occurred in the area of 19551 S. Tamiami Trail, Fort Myers.

On August 18, 2010, at approximately 01:27 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Douglas Paschal, D.O.B. 10/19/88, of 2300 S Park Road, on

misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana. The incident

occurred in the area of Cranford Ave / Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Fort

Myers.

On August 19, 2010, at approximately 01:05 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Shawn Dewitt Russ, D.O.B. 09/05/85, of 6304 Demery Cir,

without a Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of 3700 Dr. Martin

Luther King Jr. Blvd., Fort Myers.

On August 19, 2010, at approximately 03:02 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Barry Dean Bowles, D.O.B. 06/11/60, of 3429 Dr. Martin

Luther King Jr. Blvd., Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Smuggle

Contraband into Controlled Facility, Possession of Marijuana. The incident

occurred in the area of 2115 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Fort Myers.

On August 21, 2010, at approximately 12:09 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

occurred in the area of South Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers.

On August 22, 2010, at approximately 02:44 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Roy Olando Howson, D.O.B. 08/19/87, of 4756 Varsity

Lakes Dr, Lehigh Acres, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of 3404 40th Street SW, Lehigh

Acres.

On August 22, 2010, at approximately 02:59 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Donna Whidden, D.O.B. 07/24/89, of 17201 Willow Brook

Lane, Lehigh Acres, on felony drug charges for Possession of Controlled

Substance without a Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of 3404

40th Street SW, Lehigh Acres.

On August 22, 2010, at approximately 05:17 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Alice Marie Battle, D.O.B. 03/23/59, of 4943 Mars Street,

without a Prescription, Possession of Marijuana. The incident occurred in the

area of Nuna Ave. / Skipton Cir., Fort Myers.

On August 22, 2010, at approximately 07:39 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Katherine Marie Burch, D.O.B. 11/09/61, of 7733 Victoria

Cove Ct, Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Controlled

Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Marijuana. The incident

occurred in the area of S. Tamiami Trail / Palmetto Road, Fort Myers.

On August 22, 2010, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Tony Price, D.O.B. 04/23/57, of 16441 Juanita Ave, Fort

Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana. The

incident occurred in the area of Carmen Ave. / Char Ann Dr., Fort Myers.
