Nettie Roundtree

Nettie Roundtree, 84, of Alva, died Sept. 6, 2010. Roundtree was regarded as the matriarch of Charleston Park.

She was responsible with others for the movement to rid the community of drug activity over the years. She was honored each year during Charleston Park Days and participated in a parade throughout the community.

A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Crossroads Baptist Church on Palm Beach Blvd. in East Fort Myers.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of James C. Boyd Funeral Home.
