Virginia D. Wenzel

Virginia D. Wenzel, 83, of Wilmington, Del., and Lehigh Acres, died in Sterling House on Saturday, September 25, 2010.

Born in Germantown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Daniel H. and Frances (Stewart) Dykins. She worked at I.N.A. for 25 years and then retired from the DuPont Company as a personnel clerk in 1980 after five years of service. She enjoyed going to Delaware Park.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles M. Wenzel; her sister, Gloria Heins of Lancaster, Pa.; her nephew, David Heins and her niece, Jane Heins Wenger.

A funeral will be held on Monday, October 4 at 11 a.m. at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Roads, Wilmington, Del., where friends and family are invited to visitation after 10 a.m.Interment will be private.
