Car reported stolen from Cape condo parking lot

By Staff | Oct 5, 2010

A 2002 two-door Acura was reported stolen Monday from the parking lot of a condominium in southeast Cape Coral.
Janet Wall contacted police to report the theft of the vehicle from an assigned parking spot at a condo complex located in the 400 block Southeast 43rd Terrace. According to a police report, the car belongs to Wall’s mother who has been and will be in the hospital for an unknown period of time.
Wall told police that she last saw the vehicle at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. When she returned to her mother’s condo at about 1 p.m. Monday, Wall noticed that the car had been removed from the assigned parking space.
According to the report, the vehicle was locked and Wall has both sets of keys to the car. Wall said she is certain no other family members had access to the vehicle, and there is no “family controversy” surrounding the vehicle.
Police confirmed with the condo association that no vehicles had been towed or removed from the property, and no liens were in place on the vehicle.
Anyone with information can contact the Cape Coral Police Department at 574-3223 or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS (8477).
