A driver from New Mexico delivered hundreds of pumpkins of all sizes to the church and more than 70 people, church members and others, helped to unload the 53-foot tractor trailer Tuesday.
Pumpkins are from 25 cents up and can be purchased for jack-o-lanterns or for making holiday pumpkin pies. There are all types of pumpkins available from white and green to the traditional orange. There are also ghords for fall decorataions.
Those who helped to unload the pumpkins included individuals of all ages. The odest was Don Stickle who is 90.
Pastor Deb Frysinger said the proceeds go to missions of the church. She also said another load will be arriving either next week or the following week. It is the third annual Pumpkin Patch at the church.
“It has proven to be very successfull. The people of Lehigh keep coming back to get their pumpkins, often bringing their children with them so they can also make a selection,” Frysinger said.
