Potluck dinner for all at Lehigh Sheriff’s Substation today

Members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit are joining forces with local citizens and businesses to “Celebrate Safe Communities.”

October is recognized as National Crime Prevention Month and “Celebrate Safe Communities” events are taking place across the U.S. in support.

One of the first events is in Lehigh Acres.

It occurs Saturday October 9 at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Lehigh Acres Substation (1301 Homestead Road) at 6 p.m.

Highlights include a potluck supper, which is open to the public and will be held at the substation followed by a march down Homestead Road from the substation to Business Loop Road.
